OUR MISSION
Protect the public health, safety, and welfare, enact strong and effective regulatory and enforcement controls in compliance with State law and federal enforcement guidelines, protect neighborhood character, and minimize potential for negative impacts on people, communities, and the environment in the unincorporated areas of San Luis Obispo County by opposing all commercial, industrial cannabis production near sensitive sites in San Luis Obispo County.

The SLO County Cannabis Neighborhood Watch Group is a non-partisan affiliation of concerned SLO county citizens from all walks of life, all socio-economic backgrounds, different political parties and many different professions.
Our families and community deserve better..... it's that simple.
CANNABIS RIGHTS SUPPORTERS CAN SUPPORT US TOO!
We respect that some people support pot legalization (as do some in our group), but that they can still stand with us in keeping the cannabis supply chain far away from our families, neighborhoods and larger community. We have ZERO intention of overturning Proposition 64 or curbing individual decisions to use marijuana. This concerns localization NOT legalization.
SLO COUNTY BOWED TO THE INDUSTRIAL CANNABIS LOBBY
We observe that Proposition 64 did NOT compel counties or cities to allow any pot production and distribution in the community. Most counties in California prohibited cannabis production; shamefully, San Luis Obispo county did not.
LOCAL MEDIA IS PART OF THE PROBLEM
Cannabis promoters and traffickers are making large inroads into SLO County, and much of the influenced planning for this has happened quietly behind closed doors. There is a significant pro-pot industry bias in many of our local media outlets, too. It is wholly irresponsible that the cannabis influencers and county have not been called out on such a serious matter.
